Livery

Mountcastle Farm provides livery services that offer you a choice of Full, Part or Tailor Made services to suit individual requirements, providing you and your horse with excellent quality stables, facilities and care in a top class equestrian environment.  

Full livery

Clean, dry, well maintained stable; muck out, straw/shavings, turn out, hard feed x2 daily, haylage, full use of facilities, evening well-being check.  

Part livery

Clean, dry, well maintained stable; turn out, serving of feed as provided by owner x2 daily, evening well-being check. 

Stud

Following a sparkling career on the international show jumping stage, Gelvin Clover has returned home to stand as resident stud at Mountcastle Farm.

Training

Horse Breaking - Horse breaking is provided by Mountcastle Farm.  Please make contact by telephone or email so that the highly experienced staff can help to develop even the most challenging of horses.

Horse Schooling - Please make contact to discuss your exact requirements, discuss a quotation and agree a time frame for your horses development.

Clinics & Riding Lessons - Clinics and lessons are tailored to meet the requirements and development of the rider on an individual basis to allow you to realise your full potential. These lessons can provide tailor made focus to enhance your skills in; Walking, Trotting, Cantering, Jumping, and Hacking.

Lessons are normally available throughout the year on week days, evenings and weekends. Please make contact, preferably by telephone to arrange a mutually convenient time for rider and trainer.

Purchase

Mountcastle Farm produces and sells quality horses and ponies to suit riders of all abilities. Whether you are buying a first pony or a horse to compete at regional, national or international level, we understand that there is an appropriate solution for each rider and we will endeavour to meet your requirements. 

All horses sold through Mountcastle Farm have been selected by David Scott after careful viewing and consideration with the end user in mind.  Usually the horses will be bred by Mountcastle Farm or arrive at the Farm unbroken, following which they will be broken, schooled and ridden by David.  Early training and development will progress a horse to being taken to local and regional competition in order to further their experience and performance with the intention of realising the animal's full potential. 

Horse Sourcing: Mountcastle Farm offers a service to source horses dependent on your requirements.  David has built up a wealth of industry contacts providing the best opportunity to get the animal suited your requirements.  Please make contact for further details.
